Weekends are always wicked busy. After working 37.5 hours, commuting for ten and sleeping for oh, say 30-35 hours in a 5 days I have to jam in 3 or 4 days worth of activities into every weekend. It's a lot to do! My poor yard, I just know we're going to be the last on the block to finish our raking. Or toss our gross pumpkins. Yes, we're those people.
Part of what I have to do each weekend is invest hardcore into quality time with the kids (which is why there's a half decayed pumpkin, no time!). So instead of raking or dusting or knitting or washing dishes I spent an hour and half on play dough and then an hour on fort construction and coloring. I had to run out to work for an hour and while the wee one napped Ben and I ran errands. We come home, I made dinner, we eat, watch a little Transformers and then it's bath, jammies and story time.
Now it's time to get to all those other important duties. But I'm not touching that pumpkin, it's freezing out! Maybe tomorrow. Thankfully I can hear the hubs doing laundry and he loaded the dishwasher so I just might bind off that hat I'm supposed to be gifting tomorrow!
